The Treasury Capital Markets team manages Stripe’s global liquidity investments and seeks opportunities to optimize the return on balance sheet cash. We also source capital by developing the strategy and executing corporate and product-related financing transactions; and mitigate interest rate and foreign exchange risk by developing and implementing risk-management strategies. It’s an exciting time to be a part of this team at Stripe as we grow our scale and launch new initiatives and capabilities that come with unique requirements.
What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a creative, smart, and driven individual to join our Capital Markets team to help execute our mission. Candidates should have a financial markets/investments background with demonstrated experience setting up and managing cross-functional projects in a corporate treasury context. You will collaborate with teams across Treasury Finance, Accounting, Legal, Product, Regulatory, Engineering, Data Science and beyond to manage and execute complex collaborative projects.
You will
Build/enhance all aspects of our global corporate cash investment program including strategies, policies and systems/operations, performance and risk metrics Monitor and synthesize trends in global financial markets and macroeconomic developments Manage relationships with financial partners such as asset managers, custodians and service providers Work with cross-functional partners, as well as external stakeholders, to unlock and manage global interest income opportunities Build observability tools and deliver data insights relating to investments and yield optimization Identify capital markets system needs, and work with the respective teams to build the required infrastructure Support the Capital Markets team in executing complex projects by assuming project management and cross-functional coordination responsibilities Contribute to the strategy and execution of the Capital Markets team long term roadmap Who You Are 5+ years of capital markets and/or general treasury experience with specific focus on investments, liquidity management and general project management Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail, take projects from ideation to completion and manage large cross-functional teams Passion and curiosity for technological/financial innovation in the area of payments, fintech, blockchain/crypto technologies, etc. A proven ability to work across functions and build strong collaborative working relationships with partners A builder's mindset with a willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom An ability to think creatively and thrive in a dynamic, but often ambiguous environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to leverage data insights into a dynamic narrative High intellect and energy (exothermic), entrepreneurial, self-motivated, resourceful and strong work ethic Experience with SQL and visualization tools is a plus
