Capital Markets Trading Desk Team Leader

Under limited supervision, oversee pricing and position management to market risk for foreign exchange (FX), interest rate swaps, and commodity derivatives taking full responsibility for the actions and outcomes of the Trading/pricing Desk. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 1-5 colleagues regarding how to price/quote and cover foreign exchange, rate swaps and commodity transactions/hedges within a client-led strategy, and ensure adequate and knowledgeable staffing on the pricing desk at all times, in order to meet the needs of the Capital Market's sales force and client needs. Ensure the team provides indicative and live pricing support to the FX, Swap and Commodity Sales force throughout the day. In addition, provide price risk/position management, marked-to-market verification, and source and establish relationships with upstream market maker/price providers, ensuring the best the possible interbank dealing prices will be key to spread and liquidity optimization. Ensure continuous adherence to the Bank's intra day and overnight position limits will be a key responsibility. Be a key contributor to the continued positioning and success of the Capital Market's line of business and be instrumental in ensuring the execution of growth strategies is fulfilled by the Trading Desk colleagues.

Pricing/Trading
1) Provide accurate and timely indicative and real-time pricing to Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Swaps and Commodity sales force.
2) Ensure proper risk controls for existing and growing $2,000,000,000 swap book, 100+ trade per day FX business, and Commodity Derivatives, oil and natural gas, etc.
3) Identify and fully develop upstream counterparty market makers for FX, Rate Swaps, and Commodity Derivatives.
4) Ensure the team has thorough knowledge of all spot, forward, NDF, option and structured option (collars, floors, caps, par options, basis pricing, etc) for FX, Rate Swaps, and Commodities.
5) Provide pricing support to a team of sales people meeting their needs on a timely, accurate basis, sourcing the best wholesale market price through developed upstream relationships, to maximize revenue spread potential.


Teaching and mentoring

1) Develop Trade Desk (team of 1-5 colleagues as fully functional traders/pricers of FX, Rate Swaps and Commodities (Spot, Forwards, Options, NDF's) including structures such as Blend and Extends, Collars, Par Options, and Forward Extra's.
2) Create and maintain, as directed by the OCC, in house Commodity training module within Associated University.

Administration
1) Ensure all bank policies within Capital Markets are being met, such as intraday risk limits, overnight risk limits.

2) Review trade confirmations (3-eye check) to ensure accuracy.

3) Ensure all BSA/compliance and regulatory requirements within FX, Interest Rate Swaps and Commodity Derivatives are met.

4) Verify all marked-to-market revaluation rates used at each day's end.

5) Help develop system architecture for trade entry and front office booking looking for centralization and efficiency enhancements.
6) Participate in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank in the marketplace.

Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Business, Finance or Accounting Required

Experience
10+ years Corporate banking and capital markets experience. Technical knowledge of interest rate hedging products. Experience in and understanding of capital markets and economic cycles. Prior experience dealing with transactions from $2,000,000 to $100,000,000. Required
