Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** GENERAL PURPOSE: The Associate Director of Capital Project Stewardship and Advancement Communications working in close collaboration with advancement senior leaders, department heads, and program managers, will conceive, develop, and manage the design and production of all recognition and physical recognition materials produced by the Office of Donor Engagement. In addition, they will have responsibility for managing capital pricing, benchmarking and project management, in addition to physical recognition, for smaller capital projects at the University. The associate director will help to plan, develop and implement communications programs for major gift University donors to ensure proper stewardship and cultivation. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** **Capital Project Physical Recognition Creation and Installation:** + Independent of direct supervision, the AD is responsible for the development and implementation of the donor recognition/signage program at the University of Rochester and its medical center. + Initiates and manages the communications, collaboration and meetings with senior Advancement staff, gift officers, faculty, leadership and donors regarding recognition of capital project gifts. + Creates and manages the process and timeline of plaque and display mockups for gift officers to share with donors. Upon approval, manages and executes the onsite installation of plaques and dimensional lettering alongside UR Facilities and the chosen vendor. + Develops and implements comprehensive donor recognition standards. Continuously streamlines recognition processes and guidelines based on best practices. **Budget Management:** + Manages internal and external vendor relationships for physical recognition to include concept development, costs and budgets, adherence to University standards, job logistics and installation, on-time production of final project, and final approval of job and billing. + Works with University Facilities and Services to coordinate and oversee the preparation of the physical space and to coordinate the logistics of proper installation and payment of vendors. **Complete Oversight of Physical Recognition Database Systems:** + Tracks and accounts for all named spaces within the University and its medical center, including details on donors and information on spaces that are available for naming, including location and pricing. + Creates and maintains updated “sell sheets” for gift officers to use in when soliciting capital gifts. + Working with Internet Projects and external vendors, helps to create and maintain stand alone websites for larger, transformational capital projects. **Donor Engagement & Stewardship Communications:** + Contribute to and implement strategic stewardship communications plans designed to meet department and University Advancement goals. This includes the creation of personalized hardcover books used to enhance stewardship of professorship donors (gifts of $1,500,000 or more) and high-level capital project donors. Develops copy for plaques, awards and other recognition vehicles. + Creates proposals for high-level capital project donors, consisting of plaque mockups and detailed copy specific to the donor. **Capital Project Pricing for Small Scale Capital Projects:** + For smaller, new capital projects consisting of 10 spaces or less, calculates pricing for named spaces that are available for donors to support through donation. + Works closely with gift officers, department or unit leadership on obtaining floor plans and budget information.
