Capstone is recruiting for motivated professionals to work within our Debt Advisory Group. Based on experience level, we are looking for an Analyst, an Associate and/or a Vice President. Candidates will be active members and involved in all aspects of Debt Advisory and placement of client engagements, including: transaction screening, new client marketing, financial modeling and accounting analysis, industry and sector analysis, transaction due diligence, memorandum drafting, prospective lender/investor marketing, and other execution efforts. Responsibilities will vary depending on the level, but all levels will help market and execute corporate debt transactions within Capstone's Debt Advisory Group which specializes in providing debt placement and advisory services to middle-market companies (less than $50 million of EBITDA) in connection with cashflow- and asset-based senior credit facilities, second-lien loans, unitranche facilities, mezzanine debt, and structured equity across a range of industry sectors. Capstone’s Debt Advisory Group operates from Capstone’s Denver, CO office and is currently comprised of eight members. We are one of the few middle market investment banking firms that has developed a debt-only placement (non-lending) practice staffed by leveraged finance veterans focused solely on the debt funding needs of mid-sized companies and the private equity firms that invest in them. The majority of our engagements involve raising debt for acquisitions, recapitalizations, refinancings, and growth/expansion financings with a particular focus on special situations where non-traditional debt capital is required. Capstone’s Debt Advisory Group completed over 25 transactions over the last three years and is looking to add a highly motivated member to the team to help continue to scale the practice. These positions require strong interpersonal and technical skill sets in leveraged finance. The job entails extensive interaction with colleagues and clients; financial analysis; preparation of financial projections and credit analyses; drafting of private placement memoranda; preparation of new business pitch material; management of client due diligence processes; and preparing management for meetings with prospective lenders and investors. It may also require outgoing calling efforts for transactions or market intelligence gathering purposes. Primary Responsibilities: + Perform preliminary credit analysis of new transaction opportunities + Participate in financial and business due diligence + Meet with client management teams + Identify key credit merits and risks + Development of three-statement financial projection models + Research and analysis of public information, equity research and credit rating reports + Analyze existing credit agreements + Draft informational memorandums, presentations and related materials + Organize, QC, and populate virtual data rooms + Assist with creation of pitchbooks and marketing materials + Assist with the team’s business development efforts including industry / target company research and qualification + Participate in new client pitch meetings and calls Qualifications/Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or similar + Strong verbal and written communications skills + Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills + Excellent academic achievement + Level (Analyst, Associate and/or Vice President) depends on number of years of experience, but must have a background in commercial lending, debt placements or investment banking + Highly competitive with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work independently + Strong financial analysis skills, including: Excellent financial, credit and accounting analytical skills; Project management skills and able to meet deadlines; High attention to detail and presentation of information and data; Completion of a Wall Street or credit-underwriting training program – preferred + Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) + If not held already, will be expected to pass the FINRA Series 79 exam (Investment Banking Professional) + Salary to commensurate with experience level (Analyst, Associate and/or Vice President) + Must be authorized to work in the United States - E-Verify Employer + Must live in the Denver, CO area Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) Yes Applications Accepted Through: 02/28/2025 Huntington expects to accept applications through at least the date above, and may continue to accept applications until the position is filled. Compensation Range: $90,000-$130,000 (salary to commensurate with experience level) The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.
