Captive Insurance Finance Manager

What can you expect?

As a Captive Insurance Finance Manager you will be responsible for accounting, regulatory compliance and administrative functions for a portfolio of captive insurance companies and other clients.

We will count on you to:

Prepare financial statements  under IFRS 17 and local GAAP in an accurate and timely manner

Liaise with brokers, actuaries, domiciles senior management

Insurance program understanding and insurance postings

Policy renewal and monitoring of premium receivables/payment of Reinsurance

Track and reconcile claims activity

Investment portfolio valuation

Prepare VAT returns

Tax Calculation

Plan and complete the annual audit for clients

Prepare financial projections

Prepare regulatory filings: local , IFRS 17, Solvency II

Assist in regulatory controls and internal audits 

Ensure on-going compliance with domicile captive insurance regulations

Maintain client files in accordance with the Marsh standard filing system

Maintain client contact as needed

Prepare meeting materials and participate in the  board of directors' meetings and other client meetings

Coach and train junior staff

What you need to have:

Min. 5 years of professional experience related to finance / accounting / controllership gained in insurance / brokerage or auditing company

MA or BA degree

Fluency in English

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Multitasking

Responsibility

Excellent planning and organization skills

Openness for new challenges 

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with external clients

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Excel (formulas and data analysis)

Critical thinking and problem solving

Initiative and persistence to pursue problems to resolution

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

What makes you stand out:

ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified or part qualified

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines
