The Captive Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the captive sales team to achieve membership sales targets within assigned territories or products. This role involves developing strategic sales and distribution plans; identifying new market opportunities; developing and enhancing productive agent relationships; and ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for training and mentoring sales staff, analyzing sales data, and collaborating with other departments to optimize sales processes that build upon Priority Health's unique strengths and create ways to differentiate Priority Health in the marketplace.
Essential FunctionsDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to drive membership growth.
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets. Possess, acquire and reinforce exceptional problem-solving skills.
Maintain strong Agent/Broker/Consultant relations. Develop community relationships, provider relationships, etc., to drive leads.
Collaborate closely with other Managers to monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement as well as adoption of appropriate sales technology and tracking tools.
Build and service positive relationships with outside community organizations to enhance favorable viewpoint of Priority Health. Participate in regular meetings with key stakeholders and maintain membership in and engagement with appropriate professional/community organizations.
Stay current on market needs, competitor strategies and any applicable regulatory changes impacting governmental rules/guidelines
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop successful go-to-market and retention strategies including collaboration/review of lead generation tactics
Monitor the status of staffing throughout the department, assessing trends and assisting with strategic planning to meet service demands. Coordinate hiring process with HR for department-based employees.
QualificationsRequired
Bachelor's Degree
5 years of relevant experience industry experience
Demonstrated track record of success in sales and sales management.
Preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products and funding mechanisms.
Strong knowledge of health insurance finance.
