To bring leading talent into the organization and foster a **culture of innovation and excellence** , we **encourage professionals from wide range of backgrounds** and industries to apply and: + Join a global company that gives you an opportunity to collaborate with some of the best talent in the business + Use your experience to support the needs of our customers + Have the autonomy and freedom to be successful in your career The Captives Market Facing Underwriter II is responsible for: + Reviewing new business submissions and underwriting them to determine captive exposure eligibility, satisfactory risk control practices, pricing adequacy, and coverage offerings. + Re-underwriting of existing business to document and address any changes that have taken place on the account since last reviewed + Underwrite endorsement requests and account changes + Consult with Zurich inter-disciplinary functions throughout the policy life cycle (e.g., audit, reinsurance accounting, technical underwriting, etc.) + Ensure reinsurance (captive) documentation is in place + Represent Zurich at captive board meetings while engaging with customers, distributor partners and captive service providers + Communicate account and captive demographics both internally and externally to stakeholders (e.g., periodic updates on captive or account loss performance, appetite mix, coverage issues, etc) **Basic Qualifications:** Captives Market Facing Underwriter II: + High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.OR + High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaOR + Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing areaOR + Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaAND + Knowledge of line/s of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines + Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business + Experience with Microsoft Office **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelors Degree + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Ability to read and understand coverage forms + Strong Analytical Skills + Experience in underwriting captives or construction accounts Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
