Capture/Business Development Manager

The Business Development/Capture Manager is responsible for generating sales and growth initiatives within the federal government market. 

What You Will Do:

Main objective is to drive sales growth and develop customer intimacy to win business, irrespective of market conditions. Drive opportunities from capture decision to contract award through developing, maintaining, and executing capture plans, including customer and competitor assessments, price-to-win analysis, customer contact plans, win strategy development, and proposal planning. Lead business planning activities to include opportunity identification, periodic pipeline reviews, bid development, opportunity gate reviews, and proposal reviews. Coordinate with proposal development; contracts; pricing and oversee the development of the technical, management, and cost strategies for the associated proposal volumes. Manage responses to government market research inquiries (sources sought, RFIs). Develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including other business development and capture personnel, client executives, operations, and program management teams, to ensure client satisfaction Arrange meetings, initiate marketing strategies, and build relationships with key potential customers and industry partners Attend industry events to network with others within the industry Participate in special projects and teams as necessary to support the overall development of the business. Meet or exceeds delegated sales targets.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited university or equivalent business/quality-related experience. 8+ years of experience in business development and/or capture management. Strong written and oral communication skills Experience working with Operations teams to develop and oversee potential solutions for new opportunities. Familiarity with Shipley Capture and Proposal processes. Experience and relationships at the Department of Homeland Security.

Salary: $130-160k

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to the Director of Business Development or of Global Government Services
