Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) sector is seeking a Manager 3, Capture Management. This position is located in Chandler, AZ at NGSP’s Launch Vehicles Business Unit. Other Northrop Grumman facilities might be available based on the needs of the business:
Dulles, VABaltimore, MDLos Angeles, CAMinneapolis, MNColorado Springs, CORoy, UTThis individual will lead capture-related activities for small to medium sized programs. The successful candidate will have a chance to lead some of the most exciting new capture opportunities in missile defense, hypersonic and space launch.
The Capture Manager will work closely with Northrop Grumman’s leadership team and other industry and government partners and will lead the overall capture effort, including investment strategy, supplier and contract partnerships, technical development, customer relationships and alignment of priorities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who quickly understands what is required to win, develops compelling value propositions, and prepares strong business cases to leadership. Must possess proven strong team leadership skills and writing abilities and be comfortable with briefing at the executive level, establishing NDAs, working with global supply chain, teaming, and sourcing.
Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Capture LeadershipCultivating and managing customer relationships; Analyzing and shaping the Customer acquisition approach; Collaboration with Government Relations on engagement strategies and execution.Establishing capture strategy and tactics to produce capture products such as competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and price-to-win analysis results to improve competitive posture.Developing clear and concise Win Themes and Value Propositions for the capture.Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and functional organizations involved in program pursuit.Building relationships with teaming partners and industry associations to help drive partnerships.Coordinating and collaborating with business management, strategy, business and finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions.Developing and managing investment capture project funds, schedule, and execution.Managing the proposal development process, writing proposal responses and developing pricing to deliver compelling and compliant proposals.Creating clear, concise and actionable briefings to the NGC leadership team.Willing and able to travel as required.Ethics

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.10+ years in a technical or business role applicable to capture managementSelf-directed leader with strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to apply project management skills to lead small teamsExperience with effective communication with senior management and peers from all aspects of NG BusinessAptitude to develop and execute to a strategyExperience establishing and maintaining customer relationshipsActive Secret Clearance required at the time of applicationThis position will require up to 25% travel.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or business/finance.Experience directly contributing to the success of competitive captures of $200M in value or greater.Active Top-Secret clearance with recent SSBIExperience leading and managing geographically dispersed teams.Experience in program planning, budget development and execution, workforce planning, risk management, and the implementation of project processes and controls.Knowledge of NASA and US DoD acquisition processes and Customer organizations (Army, Air Force, Navy, MDA, DARP A, SSC, etc.)Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
