Hourly Pay Rate $28.21

Key Functions

Support manufacturing by maximizing the shipping of products while operating a forklift in a safe manner to load trucks/vans and railroad cars with MDF, while contributing to corporate, plant, and departmental goals. Manage and interpret shipping requests and paperwork; as well as work with others to deliver appropriate direction in Weyerhaeuser’s shipping procedures. Operate and maintain equipment; including but not limited to performing inspections and maintaining all fluid levels of forklift. Maintain shipping flow at production level using hand tools and forklift to load trucks/vans and railroad cars, including staging of loads.Ability to learn truck and car series, as well as interpret and fill shipping requests, by following instructions and completing all necessary paperwork, including maintaining neat and accurate tallies.Communicate with haulers and others using exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of procedures to keep accurate tally of orders and standard shipping procedures to maintain shipping and organization of product.Ability to operate, service and maintain equipment; including but not limited to hand tools and forklift.Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate and legible manner.Ability to maximize shipping of product and minimize loss to the company.Ability to work with little direct supervision and be self-motivated. Ability to work closely with supervisors and others; be a team player/leader; good communication skills and demonstrate positive attitude. Knowledge and willingness to use lockout procedures and necessary PPE.Ability to maintain a clean workstation, and exhibit good performance, safety and attendance records. Willingness to work any shift, work on short notice, work overtime and weekends and rotate between jobs; as well as perform any job as specified by supervisor. Willingness to fill in for Car Loader position, as necessary. Knowledge of acceptable truck/van loading procedures.Knowledge and ability to use Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Show proficiency in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) standards.Knowledge of lockout procedures.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit and drive forklift on a frequent basis; frequently reach and grasp; climb on/off forklift, ladder, stacks of units; and occasionally lift/carry up to 100lbs (with assistance). Must have good sight in all parameters of vision
