Procor also operates 28 repair locations servicing the petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and food markets.We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable Car Repair in Training at our K+S Potash Mine in Behune SK.

The Car Repair In Training will perform work on a variety of rail car types as necessary while working inside, outside, on top of, and underneath the car.

Assist in the preparation of rail cars for repairAdhere to health and safety standards, including Responsible Care PolicyRead, comprehend, and follow repair orders and proceduresOther related duties as assignedLegally entitled to work in CanadaMechanical aptitudeWelding experienceWHMIS training, experience dealing with hazardous commodities.Detail orientedExcellent time management skillsThe ability to work well independentlyStrong initiativeValid driver’s licenseCut, fit, and repair railcars, their components, and other items as necessary to facilitate railcar repair.Perform all necessary AAR repairs to railcars including cutting, straightening, and car repair.Perform and document quality control checks as required by Company quality standards.Perform basic preventative maintenance checks on used equipment.Comply with company and regulatory safety and environmental standards.Appropriately wear and utilize all of the following types of safety equipment in accordance with EHS instruction and requirements: Respirators (full and half face), hearing protection, eye protection, steel toed boots, and fall protection.Adheres to Procor’s health and safety standards (including the Responsible Care policy), and wears the required PPE for the job in a safe mannerThe normal work schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm, however this schedule may change as business requirements dictate.
