Car Wash Service Technician

Kwik Trip Inc. Facilities Team is responsible for the repair and maintenance at our 750+ Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, and Tobacco Outlet Plus Grocery stores. We are looking for a highly motivated, hard-working and change orientated individual to help us ensure our stores’ car wash equipment is operating properly. This is our entry level technician. This position is primarily responsible for various inspections and preventive/corrective maintenance functions on Kwik Trip’s car wash equipment. Corrective maintenance will expand as the technician gains experience.  Example of responsibilities include, but are not limited to trouble shoot, analyze, and repair equipment as required; recommend replacement of equipment, inspect equipment and accurately document inspection results, and communicate site deficiencies that will require further action.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D and high mechanical aptitude.  Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general maintenance experience is a plus. 

Additional qualifications/requirements include:

Valid driver’s license with good driving recordUnderstanding of blueprints and schematicsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office productsStrong interpersonal, organization, and written/oral communication skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Physical requirements:  frequently stand/walk up to 8+ hours; lift up to 75 pounds; bend/squat/twist and stoop/kneel/crouch frequently; grasp/pinch/grip frequently; work in a variety of weather temperatures/conditions. 

Work Schedule:  40-50 hours per week.  Typically, Monday through Friday daytime hours; however, you will have on-call responsibilities including evening and weekend shifts as needed, as well as some occasional overnight stays.

Location: Candidate must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to the Cedar Rapids, IA area market.
