Schedule: 6am-2:30pm
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Overview:The Quality Carbon Inspector evaluates hardware documentation, performs laboratory procedures, inspects products, measures process performance, records data and prepares formal reports.
Job Description:
Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals and blueprints to determine inspection and test procedures.Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to defined requirements (engineering drawings and specifications).Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.Discards or rejects products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.Confers with vendors and others regarding inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and compiles reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs.Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, and to verify adherence to functional specifications.Responsible for gauging, recording of SPC data. Maintain Batch Records and all documentation needed for Batch Records. Will also perform final audit as needed.Gather relevant data and produce quality reports as directed by the Build CoordinatorDocument all audit findings and communicate any non-conformances immediately to appropriate staffRead geometric dimensions and tolerance characteristics and symbols.Verify all measuring equipment meets calibration standards and notify the Lead Quality Technician of any equipment requiring calibrationAssist Build Coordinator and the Lead Quality Technician with quality issues identified by customers; lead initiatives in corrective/ preventative action programsWork with manufacturing staff to solve quality related problemsPerform incoming inspection of materials and components as neededReads dials and meters to ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications.Audits processes.Prepares AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.Support compliance with Quality Policies.Support continuous improvement initiative.Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:A high-school diploma or GEDA minimum of two years of on-the-job experience in mechanical inspectionExcel (Level: High), Word, Power Point, and Outlook.Experience with Discus First Article Software and Gage Trak preferred.Maintain data base of Part Orders, Inventory, and Documentation.Review all orders in sales orders for information, (part variations, content, quantities, etc.)Distribute Orders to the Build CenterTrack all orders are on time to customer required datesCoordinate with shipping on tags and labels for all customer requirements
