Card Services Specialist
Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: 
The Credit Card Services Specialist will help manage the day-to-day operations of the bank’s credit card line of business. This position provides support to the AVP, Card Services Supervisor or VP, Card Services Manager and is responsible for all areas of operations including customer service, consumer and commercial account management and renewals, documentation review, dispute resolution, and account origination applications and other related systems. Performs necessary functions to explain, promote, establish, and maintain consumer and commercial credit accounts and services and their associated online account management applications. This position requires the individual to work closely with their supervisor, other bank staff, service providers/vendors, and customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Compiles and analyzes documents for new and existing consumer and commercial card accounts.  
•    Processing of all credit card related requests including but not limited to all credit card payments, processing and loading of all consumer and business credit card accounts, as well as all account maintenance requests.
•    Works with loan officers in obtaining credit approval and all levels of staff within UBSI regarding commercial account inquiries and obtaining documentation.  Educates employees within the organization on the products and what type of documents are required. 
•    Compile and prepare documentation for consumer and commercial card accounts. Read and comprehend business organizational documents.
•    Reviews Purchasing Card documentation and identifies any issues and takes appropriate action to ensure the documentation packages are complete per departmental guidelines.
•    Handles inquiries from both employees and customers  
•    Process monthly reissues report for consumer and commercial accounts and associated documentation requirement. 
•    Ensure declination letter is sent to customer if credit request is denied.
•    New account entry and verification review for commercial and consumer accounts. Maintain revenue sharing log, copies of agreements and ensure accounts are opened and setup correctly.
•    Maintain consumer and commercial tracking for officers responsible for the account.
•    Process the closure and reissuance of accounts when reported as damaged, lost, stolen or compromised.
•    Review and take action on all credit card daily reports including the posting of the daily credit card settlement for bookkeeping. 
•    Review and act on all credit Falcon Alerts and work any credit CAMS that come through
•    Monthly review of fraud accounts to pull, review and take action on posting all fraud losses prior to month end.
•    Answer the department phone and field credit related telephone calls.
•    Primary handler of credit related Card Services emails.
•    Handling of incoming credit card payments and all returned mail correspondence and statements.

Qualifications

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

•    High School diploma or equivalent is required
•    Minimum of one (1) year of professional working experience, preferably in Banking environment required
•    Minimum of one (1) year of data entry experience is preferred
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
•    Basic accounting and data entry skills
•    Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required
•    Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
•    Excellent customer relations skills
•    Excellent telephone skills

Essential Functions:  
•    Sitting for extended periods of time.
