Cardiac Cath Lab Team Lead

40 Hours Week, Full Time

About the Unit:

The Cardiac Cath Lab has five rooms and a non-invasive room all staffed by nurses and special procedures radiologic technologists. Nurses assist in various procedures including balloon angioplasty, catheter ablation, pulmonary vein ablation, coronary stenting, and the advance practice of radial catheterizations.  A year of experience in Cath Lab, critical care or open heart recovery is desired.  BCLS and ACLS are required.  

Job Summary:

This position assists in the daily workflow of the cardiac cath lab.  Management of staffing, communication with physicians and ensuring cases flow without delay is the primary duty of this position.  Close supervision of inventory management and technical troubleshooting are secondary duties.  Other assignments as requested by management will be included and are defined below.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse (BSN required, Masters preferred) with an active Kentucky license or Graduate of an accredited Radiology program with an active Kentucky licenseBachelors degree in nursing required.  Masters degree preferredAt least 5 years of experience in invasive cardiology preferredBCLS certification requiredACLS certification requiredAdvanced certification in the cardiology field preferred
