The Cardiac Device Clinic Specialist provides quality cardiac rhythm device services to patients throughout the Aspirus Heart & Vascular Institute service area.
Sign on Bonus Eligible Position!Hours: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Day shift, Monday - Friday
Experience/Qualifications
Associate Degree in related health sciences, or equivalent, with an Associate Degree in cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary, nursing or biomedical electronic sciences or a Bachelor’s Degree in cardiovascular/cardiopulmonary sciences beneficial.Knowledge of ECG interpretive skills (identification and differentiation of arrhythmia), cardiac clinical assessment, and routine cardiovascular pharmacological agents (indications, use and effects).Knowledge of the technological aspects of devices (pacemakers, ICDs) i.e., pulse generators, leads and electrodes, sensing, stimulation, timing cycles, algorithms and defibrillation concepts.Completes Basic ECG class and passes with 85% or higher within one year of hire, or tests out of class.Previous cardiac related experience beneficial.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hirePossesses and maintains a valid driver’s license.Successful completion of the IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners) Certification Examination for Competency in Cardiac Rhythm Device Therapy desired within 3 years of hire.ACLS desiredComputer skills required.Employee Benefits
