Position Summary: Under the administrative and technical direction of the Coordinator, Diagnostic Cardiology Services, performs all cardiac ultrasound testing which includes Echocardiography/Doppler studies, Stress Echocardiographs, and Transesophageal Echocardiographs. Location: 680 Centre St., Brockton Department: Cardiology This is a 32 hour / week position - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. No weekends. Responsibilities: + Participates as team member, meets daily productivity standards while effectively adapting to change or unusual circumstances. + Demonstrates competency in providing the following services to all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric population; duties involved in cardiac ultrasound which includes echo/Doppler studies, stress echocardiographs and transesophageal echocardiographs. + Responsible for preliminary interpretations of echocardiographic and critical resulting to physicians and nursing floors. + Attends department meetings and participates in organizational goals, + Maintains equipment and examination areas in clean and orderly condition. + Keeps current in field through seminars, journals, etc. + Follows all guidelines as detailed in hospital and departmental manuals. + Performs other duties as required or assigned. Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other: + Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Health Science or related experience in Echocardiographic testing . + Experience : Minimum 3 years’ experience with at least 1-year hospital experience. Pediatric experience a plus. Must be proficient in all modalities of Adult cardiac ultrasound testing, which includes 2D Doppler, stress echo,transesophageal echo, strain and 3D.,Use of contrast agents and bubble studies. + Certification/Licensure: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer. + Software/Hardware: Computer literate and use of Meditech helpful. + Other:
