Job Summary

What you will do: - Perform comprehensive and high-quality echocardiogram following MGH Echocardiography Lab protocol. - Utilize a variety of techniques, such as 2DE, M-mode, Doppler, Agitated saline contrast, Ultrasound Enhancement Agents (UEA), 2D strain or 3DE, etc. - Perform a variety of echocardiography exams, including Stress echocardiogram, Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) echocardiogram, CRT, Ramp study, etc. May assist physicians in the Catheterization Lab and OR by performing echocardiography studies to aid them in proceeding with complex procedures to decrease risk factors. - Apply independent judgment during the echocardiography examination to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the examination images. As necessary, acquire additional ultrasound imaging to facilitate optimal diagnostic results for the interpreting physician. - Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct echocardiography examinations in accordance with infections disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures. - Must be able to push a 300lb ultrasound equipment throughout the hospital when assigned to a portable rotation.


 

Qualifications

What you will need: - Current licensure as a registered cardiac sonographer - Minimum of associate degree (or ultrasonography equivalent) with RDCS or CCI credential. - Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Experience in echocardiography field preferred, but not required.
