UPMC Shadyside Hospital is looking to hire a Cardiac Technician to support our Electra cardiology department on a full-time basis!

All levels of experience are encouraged to apply!

Candidates will be placed into appropriate level based on experience. Cardiac Technician I – starting at $17.68/hr. Cardiac Technician II – starting at $19.01/hr.

The person in this position will implement cardiac testing, prepare and finalize results of testing that includes EKGs, Holter Monitoring Hook-ups, and Stress Testing of all types.

Responsibilities:

Utilize all computer systems (MUSE, TDS, etc) for testing data, results reporting, mailing, billing, etc. Maintain equipment by cleaning and stocking on a daily basis as well as alerting appropriate personnel of needed repairs and supplies needed. Also maintain the department area to meet Safety & Security regulations (JCAHO & OSHA). Perform cardiac testing that includes EKGs, rhythm strips, Signal Average ECGs, all varieties of stress testing, Holter Monitoring hook-ups, according to protocol and in a timely fashion.
