Cardio-Oncologist, Assistant Professor, Clinician Educator Track

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of outpatient and inpatient services at several Penn Medicine practice sites as well as focused interest in cardio-oncology and related interdisciplinary subspecialty (heart failure, imaging, prevention). Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular diseases.
Teaching responsibilities may include participation in discussions and didactic lectures during cardio-oncology morning meetings as well as teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, cardiology fellows, and advanced practice providers.
Clinical responsibilities may include attending on the inpatient and outpatient services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and associated practice sites. Candidates should be prepared to provide services for general cardiology patients based on the needs of the division. Additional opportunities for clinical care in other subspecialties will be considered on an individual basis taking into consideration applicant expertise and divisional priorities.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical, basic science, and/or translational research focused in cardio-oncology. Selected candidates will be expected to develop and grow a collaborative and extramurally funded research program in the areas of clinical interest. Selected candidates will also be expected to produce high-quality research which will lead to publications. Scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track.
