Aspirus Cardiology Clinic in Wausau, WI is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Technician I to join our team!

The Cardiopulmonary Technician I provide quality cardiovascular comprehensive EKG services including ECG, Holter scanning, operation of the MUSE, signal average ECG, and event monitor, to neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, and is able to interpret patient information and understand treatment needs depending on the age of patients under care. Is responsible for scheduling and performing trans-telephonic monitoring of pacemaker chart documentation along with pacemaker/CD device tracking. Provides trans-telephonic monitoring education to patients and their families. This position requires close collaboration with nursing and healthcare providers. Position also requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Day shift.

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of courses in college level physical and biological sciences and/or completion of a CNA training program or an EMT training program.Courses in ECG basic interpretation beneficial.Six months or more experience in cardiopulmonary diagnostics.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin, and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).Knowledge of basic medical terminology and use of personal computers.Certified Cardiovascular Technician desired. Completes Basic ECG class and passes with 85% or higher within one year of hire, or tests out of class.
