Cardiology Tech - Arrow Springs

The Technician is responsible for performing graded exercise testing under the supervision of the Staff Registered Nurse (R.N.). Duties include assisting patients in preparation for tests, applying electrodes, taking vital signs, monitoring equipment, and notifying the R.N. of any abnormalities in heart rhythm. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to Service Excellence, and a keen awareness of cardiac abnormalities. Responsibilities may also include performing signal average EKGs, Holter monitor testing, or EKGs.

Location: Bethesda Medical Center at Arrow Springs 100 Arrow Springs Blvd., Lebanon, OH 45036

Work Hours:

Part-time, 56 hours bi-weekly Day shift Weekend, Holiday, and On-call rotation

Job Requirements:

High School Degree Experience starting IVs (preferred) Up to 1 year of experience in a related field (Ex. Medical Assistant or EKG Technician)

Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrate clinical competency by explaining procedures, properly applying electrodes, monitoring during exercise, and being aware of any cardiac abnormalities. Prepare room and clean up post-testing. Exhibit Service Excellence values in all interactions. Provide kind, helpful, and courteous service to patients. Demonstrate teamwork and flexibility. Ensure timely and proper testing. Assist patients in starting tests on time and minimize delays when possible. Make beds and stock supplies. Perform EKGs, apply Holter monitors, etc., following proper protocol. Charge and file as needed. Assist in other cardiology duties as required. Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Stay current with cardiology trends.
