Texas Health Hospital Mansfield- operates as a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth.

Schedule: Full Time Nights 40 hrs/week

Shift : three 12/hr staffing shifts, one 4 hour/admin shift per week

Location: 2300 Lone Star Road; Mansfield, TX 76063

The community you’ll be caring for:

· Join a family of caregivers focused on whole-person health and committed to making communities healthier.

· Provide wholistic care for patients that extends to the spiritual level by praying with patients and families. Chaplains are available to meet with patients, families and team members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide spiritual support.

· Help develop a brand new $150 million community hospital and medical office building that will provide services such as Emergency Services, Medical/Surgical, ICU, Women’s Services, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology and Gastroenterology.

The role you’ll contribute:

Assists in the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system. Evaluates patients and assists physician in the treatment.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Provides for the delivery of respiratory care services through accurate interpretation of physicians orders, implementation of various modes of therapeutic and diagnostic cardiopulmonary procedures in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

· Actively participates in the direction and selection of treatment modalities by communicating pertinent information to medical and nursing staff.

· Accurately perceives goals of cardiopulmonary treatment regime and endeavors to maintain patient progress.

· Investigates problems as presented and takes initiative in resolving both technical and non-technical problems.

· Responsible for monthly department infection control report.

· Responsible in obtaining adequate staffing when necessary.

· Provides input on performance appraisals, establishes professional development goals for employees assigned.

· Supervises therapists during each shift to ensure optimal outcomes. Reports on employee’s failure to comply with departmental procedures to supervisor/director.

· Monitors, on daily basis, patient volume versus staffing ratio and personally meets established productivity targets for the department.

· Acts as a preceptor in orientation/competencies with new hire and current employees.

· Investigates complaints about patient care.

· Identifies, troubleshoots and initiates quality improvements.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

Two years of training from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care.

Current Respiratory Care Practitioner Certification from the Texas Department of Health.
