Join the Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a nationally recognized 345 bed tertiary care hospital located in the northern suburbs of Boston, MA.

Under the direction of a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and within established departmental practice guidelines, the APP is responsible for performing a variety of duties. These duties include, but are not limited to:Providing postoperative patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care unit, and the Telemetry UnitExperience with ICU management of the postoperative Cardiac Surgery patient including familiarity with ventilators, inotropes and vasoactive medicationsExperience with post-operative management of a Thoracic Surgery patientTreating urgent medical issues such as arrhythmias, hemodynamic instability, sepsisEmergency Room consultations and admissionsSurgical consultationsPreoperative patient evaluation and preparation for surgeryExperience with chest tube insertions, central line placement, arterial lines, and management of swan-ganz cathetersUrgent outpatient callsAbility to work collaboratively in a high acuity environmentExperience:
The successful candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience in the field of Cardiothoracic SurgeryQualifications:
Skilled in the care and management of pre, intra and postoperative cardiothoracic surgical patients.
