The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), Cardiovascular Institute is recruiting a full time Heart Failure cardiologist to join the Advanced Heart Failure/ Pulmonary Hypertension team at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. The Cardiovascular Institute at AHN includes a comprehensive panel of physicians, including multiple cardiology service lines (heart failure, electro-physiology, general cardiology, interventional cardiology and imaging), cardiothoracic and vascular surgery as well as cardiac critical care. The heart failure section currently employs eight cardiologists board-certified in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology and three full time cardiothoracic transplant surgeons.
Job Duties
In-patient, outpatient clinic (at AGH and outreach) and cardiac catheterization lab duties In-patient service includes on-call, rounding on primary service and consults as well as ICU duties; Cath lab duties include hemodynamic assessment, endomyocardial biopsies Mentoring trainees in Dept of Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and Heart Failure fellowshipJob Qualifications
MD or DO degree and completed an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular / heart failure fellowship Qualified candidates are board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Excellence in the entire spectrum of heart failure and pulmonary hypertension Expertise in temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support as well as cardiac transplantation Recent graduates are welcome to apply Current PA MD licensure in good standing upon hire; current unrestricted DEA certificateAHN Proudly Offers
