Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist RCIS - PRN

ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte continues to provide quality, compassionate healthcare to residents of Charlotte County and surrounding areas. ShorePoint Port Charlotte is a 254-bed full-service facility with a care team comprised of 900 associates, 100 volunteers, and over 300 physicians specializing in over 40 specialties. We offer emergency care, primary stroke center, orthopedics and are the only licensed obstetric and pediatric units in Charlotte County. The on-campus Southwest Florida Heart Center is an accredited chest pain center with PCI offering comprehensive cardiac services.

Requirements:

Completion a Cardiovascular Technology programCardiovascular Technologist Registration with Invasive Specialist certification RCISCurrent BLS from the AHA or ARC

What You Will Do:

Preparing patients and equipment for cardiac catheterization and interventionsPerforming common catheterization interventions including, stent placements, balloon angioplasties, heart valve replacements, and electrophysiology testsOperating intracardiac or intravascular ultrasound equipment, fluoroscopy equipment, or other imaging systemsAssisting with handling venous and arterial catheters and wiresMonitoring blood pressure and heart rate using electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) equipment during procedures including coronary angiography, pacemaker implantation, aortic stenosis studies, and patent foramen ovale closuresCalculating hemodynamic or physiologic values, and record waveforms for patient records
