Shift: Days with call

What you will do:

Exhibits functional knowledge/skills of essential functions for the job classes that are directly supervised. Functions as a clinical and operational resource for department. Resource for concerns after normal business hours. ​Prepares staff schedule. Communicates changes in schedules and assignments with staff.  Assists with monitoring/minimizing overtime hours.  Addresses vacation requests in a timely manner. ​Organizes orientation of new employees, outlines orienting staff’s responsibilities, assesses new employees’ progress throughout orientation and provides feedback to new employee and director. ​Assures hospital work is completed. Notifies director of coverage concerns or other clinical/staffing issues. Trouble shoots coverage/clinical situations to assist with flow and performance of clinical duties.  ​Assists with director in the development of the budget and productivity. Monitors utilization of staff and supplies in assigned areas with the budget and makes appropriate adjustments to meet the budget and productivity expectations. Creatively seeks new ideas to stay within budget and productivity guidelines while constantly improving the quality of care delivered.  ​Participates with director in pre-employment interviews and makes recommendations regarding hiring. May also be responsible for hiring positions in area of responsibility, which necessitates knowledge of interviewing techniques and a good working relationship with Human Resources. ​Serves as a resource for ensuring all equipment is optimized and functioning in collaboration with IT, PACs, Biomed and vendors. 

​​ Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 1 year experience in the discipline  OR 3 years’ experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience​ Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) ​Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtained within three months of hire ​Mandatory Reporter training within three months of hireMinimum two years cardiovascular experience​ ​
