Our full-time employees enjoy a robust benefits package which may include health insurance, 401(k), flexible scheduling, **licensure/certification reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, and student loan assistance for eligible roles.** **Job Summary** The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist performs various cardiovascular procedures, including monitoring patients' vital signs during tests, assisting in the administration of catheterization, operating machines used for catheterization procedures, and measuring and administering special fluids. **Essential Functions** + Prepares patients for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are set up and readily available in accordance with hospital protocols. + Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and catheterizations, following established guidelines. + Monitors and assesses patient status during procedures, providing clear communication to physicians and promptly addressing any changes in patient condition. + Administers medications as ordered, using patient safety techniques and adhering to medication administration protocols. + Ensures accurate and timely documentation of procedures, patient responses, and any adverse events, maintaining compliance with hospital standards. + Assists physicians during catheterization procedures, monitoring heart rates and alerting to any abnormal readings. + Maintains cardiology equipment by performing routine cleaning, troubleshooting issues, and reporting malfunctions to supervisors. + Participates in process improvement initiatives, contributing to quality assurance activities and the development of best practices in the Cath Lab. + Adheres to infection control and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complies with all policies and standards. **Qualifications** + Associate Degree in a cardiovascular technology program or related field from an accredited institution required + 1-2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or cardiovascular diagnostic setting required **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Proficiency in cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, equipment use, and patient monitoring. + Proficient understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and related medical terminology. + Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient interaction. + Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to emergencies. **Licenses and Certifications** + CVT - Cardiovascular Tech required or + CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist required or + RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required + BCLS - Basic Life Support within the first 30 days of employment required + ACLS preferred + ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred **We know it’s not just about finding a job.
