CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. PRN CV Ultrasound Sonographer
Provides technical expertise in Cardiovascular Ultrasound procedures in accordance with the mission and philosophy of CHI St. Alexius Health.
What You'll Do:Performs appropriate cardiovascular ultrasound procedures and records anatomical, physiological, and/or pathological data for Cardiologist and/or Radiologist interpretation. Assist physician in or by gathering sonographic data necessary do diagnose a variety of conditions and diseases. Obtains, reviews, and uses pertinent patient medical history and supporting clinical data to facilitate optimum diagnostic results. Provides patient education related to cardiovascular ultrasound. Records and processes sonographic data.Provides patient services in a variety of medical settings.Maintains accurate patient records for all procedures performed, maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA standards. Assist Cardiologists with Transesophageal echocardiograms. Makes sure ultrasound machines are clean, stocked and in working order. Maintain clean exam rooms and work area. Must possess ability to use independent judgement in performing various tasks in a professional manner. Contribute to the department by helping with quality assurance measures, processing outreach studies, completing required education, assisting with inventory control, and other miscellaneous tasks.Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Must achieve US registration within 1 year of hire date or education and experience required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with current registration.
Licensed by the North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) and registered through ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
