Care Assistant

Description:

We count on care assistants to gently and capably meet the needs of our patients, providing a level of care that exceeds expectations. We’re seeking an experienced care assistant who provides their patients with not only trustworthy care but also clinical care. Some areas they are responsible for include:

Responsibilities:

-\tPerforming vital sign documentation.

-\tPrepares patients and rooms for exams and procedures.

-\tMaintains a clean, organized, and safe environment.

-\tOrganizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice.

-\tPreparing patients for examination/procedures.

-\tRelaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person.

-\tCollecting patient data in person and by phone and documenting patient concerns.

-\tMessages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician’s review.

-\tComplete and accurate message taking, routing messages to the appropriate area for direction, order and referral entry, setting up of cases in EMR system plus basic registration and updating of demographics.

-\tAssists physician/nurse practitioner with basic exams and procedures.

-\tAccurately documents medical information in the patient records.

-\tTracks and routes test results to physician(s)/nurse practitioner(s) for review.

-\tCommunicates test results with patients when deemed appropriate by physician/nurse practitioner.

-\tFacilitates patient care activities, to include scheduling ancillary tests, reinforcing patient education, and performs triage as appropriate and directed by physician/nurse practitioner (as per site operation).

-\tMaintains adequate inventory of medical, office, and pharmaceutical supplies.

-\tPerforms basic computer skills in using electronic health record proficiently while conducting daily documentation and communications involved in patient care.

-\tProcesses orders appropriately and accurately.

Pay: $18/hr
