St. Joseph Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Diagnostic Imaging Transport Care Assistant- Health Unit Coordinator. This is a vital role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of patients within our Imaging Department, contributing directly to the quality of care we provide.
What You'll Do:
Transport patients safely and efficiently from our patient floors to imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, X-ray, and Ultrasound. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues. Collaborate effectively with imaging staff to ensure seamless patient flow and timely completion of procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Contribute to a positive and supportive team atmosphere by demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.Qualifications
Education/Work Experience RequirementsCompletion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program (or military medical specialty training). Six months related work experience preferred. Experience in a hospital setting preferred. Prefer experience in a specialty unit. Preference is given toward applicants with experience as both a Certified Nursing Assistant and Unit Coordinator.Licensure/CertificationMust be registered by the Washington State Nursing Commission as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Note: Employee’s hired prior to June, 2014 with Washington State Nurse Assistant Registered shall be grandfathered.
Current healthcare provider BLS certification is required.
