Job DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Associate to join our Assisted Living (AL) team in Egg Harbor Township, United States. As a Care Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing personalized care and support in a friendly, professional environment.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort servicesFollow supervisor-provided schedules to meet residents' individual needsOffer emotional and social support to residents, fostering a positive and engaging atmosphereMaintain accurate daily logs of assistance provided and resident interactionsCommunicate any resident issues or concerns promptly to supervisorsUphold and promote residents' independence, dignity, and confidentialityCollaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive care for all residentsParticipate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledgeAdhere to all safety protocols and organizational policiesRespond efficiently to emergency situations, following established proceduresQualificationsMinimum of one year experience in senior care or a related healthcare fieldCurrent CNA or CHHA license (as required by the state of New Jersey)Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team membersBasic computer skills for maintaining electronic records and communicationDemonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience in working with senior residentsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleaguesExcellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks efficientlyPhysical stamina to assist residents with daily activities and respond to emergenciesProblem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions in high-stress situationsFamiliarity with New Jersey state regulations for assisted living facilities (preferred)Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekendCommitment to maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor in all interactionsWillingness to participate in ongoing training and professional developmentBasic knowledge of safety protocols in assisted living environmentsAdditional InformationSenior Lifestyle offers a comprehensive benefits plan to eligible team members including health, dental, vision, retirement benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid time off.
