Job Summary Novant Health is seeking a Care Connection Specpecialist. The care connections specialist II is responsible for all aspects of the scheduling, verification, and registration work streams in addition to responding to service inquiries inclusive of critical care transportation and virtual health programs. Works collaboratively with acute care partners by supporting critical work streams, including, but not limited to physician to physician consults, emergent transfers, critical care transportation, and radiology code critical communications. Serves as a resource to internal and external consumers and team members to include all Novant Health departments, service lines, facilities, clinics and community partners. Qualifications + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. + Experience: Minimum one year experience in customer service or customer relations. Minimum one year experience in a call center or medical setting, required. + Electronic medical records experience strongly preferred. + Referral experience also strongly preferred. + Additional Skills (required): Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide “remarkable”customer service. Possesses experience and competency in customer relation skills in a professional environment. Ability to organize and prioritize work in a stressful environment, be detail-oriented, and have excellent time management. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to assertively recommend appropriate care based on your professional training. Team player who is positive and self-motivated. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to multi-task, working in a variety of software and internet platforms while conversing with a consumer and documenting information. Ability to use a variety of software packages to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases. Working knowledge of electronic medical record system required. Active learner with the ability to adapt priorities in a change-ready, fast-paced environment. Knowledge of basic medical terminology required. Knowledge may be obtained through formal classes or work experience. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed.
