Role Overview:
Work as a member of the practice staff team of Care Coordinators to ensure that each physician practice session is well-prepared, and organized and that each patient visit occurs with satisfactionMonitor clinic schedules and revise as necessary to facilitate smooth patient flowServe as a liaison between the patient, family, and clinical team during the office visitBe responsible for expediting time-sensitive scheduling (within 48 hours), (e.g., same-day tests or consultations) by calling the appropriate areas to ensure timeliness. Coordinate inpatient admissions, if neededReconcile work after clinic and complete a detailed End of Clinic summary dailyKey Qualifications:
Experience in customer/patient service is strongly preferredA proven dedication to healthcare through work, internship, or volunteer experienceAbility to handle acutely ill patients in stressful situations with a positive demeanorStrong digital literacyCore Skills:
An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and implementing communications based on that understandingAdept at building partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goalsFlexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstancesPassionate about working in a healthcare setting and committed to delivering a best-in-class patient experienceAdditional Information: #LI-Onsite
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days/week. Hours vary between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm (Monday-Friday, occasional weekends). Schedules are provided one week in advance and flexibility between shifts is expected.Location: We have multiple clinic locations across the Upper East Side in Manhattan.
