Care Coordinator / Recovery Specialist
Shift: 3pm-11pm
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Facilitate clients’ daily activities in residential settings, including assistance with daily activities, chores supervision, meal service, laundry, etc.
Conduct new client introductions/check-ins including item searches prior to admittance and securing contraband and medications.
Observe and monitor clients’ behavior, intervening based on schedule, individual treatment plans, and house needs.
Provide one-to-one supervision of clients at risk for AMA, suicidal risk, eating disorders, etc., per the directive of the Clinical Director, and ensure immediate notification when necessary.
Conduct Urinary Analysis screenings and collections as directed by the Clinical Director, following appropriate procedures.
Transport clients in company vehicles to and from necessary appointments and off-property outings.
Coordinate milieu treatment with Counseling staff through client records, staff communication, and counseling/residential interface meetings.
Supervise self-administration of client medications per physician orders and maintain training in medication dispensing as required by State of California Community Care Licensing.
Ensure physical plant safety and security by conducting regular shift checks, fire drills, and disaster drills as per Policy and Procedures and the State of California.
Ensure transportation safety by conducting van inspections following use and adhering to documented safety rules.
Follow all emergency procedures, including paging protocol, following directives exactly, and adhering to transportation protocol.
Document services as required by applicable law and regulation and perform other duties as assigned to facilitate program success.
Attend meetings as required.
Execute additional tasks assigned by the supervisor, including overnight duties, if applicable.
Qualifications:
Prior work experience in behavioral health treatment settings with adolescents is a plus.
Ability to work the 3pm-11pm shift.
Strong communication and observational skills
Ability to manage emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Willing and able to get you BLS
