Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Care Specialist Equipment Technician will work under the supervision of a Biomedical associate to serve our patients through creative, high quality, equipment support and technical assistance in a timely and cost effective manner. This individual requires a high level of specialized technical ability in problem solving, use of test equipment and service documentation to maintain a wide variety of equipment types used for patient diagnostics and treatment, clinical laboratory, radiology, surgery and other medical and support departments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Enrolled in, or graduated from an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree program with Electronics or Electromechanical training.

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Biomedical Engineering/Equipment Technology program enrollment or equivalent internship experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation Credentials Institute (AAMI), Certified Biomedical Electronics Technician (CBET), Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES), or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) certification.
