As a Career Consultant at the University of Texas at Dallas University Career Center, you’ll engage directly with students and alumni through personalized advising, including resume and cover letter revisions, career planning, and interview preparation. This role also involves collaboration with faculty, departments, and teams to create and deliver workshops, events, and presentations that enhance career readiness. As career centers evolve to meet the changing needs of students and the job market, adaptability is key. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that is scaling services to reach a broader audience. This role requires someone who is not only adaptable and accepting of change but also eager to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced environment. Beyond individual consultations, you’ll play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to communicate the value and impact of the career center’s services to the university community. We encourage creativity in finding innovative ways to promote our resources and expand our reach. This position reports to the Associate Director of Career Development. The University Career Center is a key component of the Student Affairs division at UT Dallas. This role reports to the Associate Director of Career Development. The University Career Center is part of the Student Affairs division of UT Dallas. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one to three years professional work experience. Preferred Education and Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with; Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, or a closely related discipline. Direct Career Services and career advising experience, as well as experience administering personality and career assessments, is preferred.
