Your opportunity

 

Lead the development of the overall NA Institutional Team’s strategy, agree team objectives and identify priority strategies to achieve good diversification of the NA Institutional Business, build our long-term institutional brand, maximize sales and build profitable AUM growth from pension funds, insurance companies and large foundations/endowments Lead prospect, consultant and client meetings bringing in investment professionals as appropriate. Work closely with other client channels to maximize the effectiveness of our sales efforts Successfully build relations and support for NA Institutional business internally and keep JHI informed of trends in this market Lead the identification and recruitment of new members to the team, identify training and development needs for existing team members as well as succession planning for key members of staff Work with Marketing to ensure marketing activities (content, campaigns and events) are aligned with the overarching team strategy and priority products. Work collaboratively with the Product team on new product development and changes to existing strategies/vehicles Ensure effective use of the CRM and prospect planning systems by NA Institutional team members in order to (i) ensure the provision of high-quality management information from relevant Distribution systems and sources (ii) and increase sales efforts through the maintenance and retention of accurate prospect and client data Comply with and ensure that your team members are aware of the requirement to comply with all relevant regulatory and corporate policies relevant to their role An active member of the North America Management Committee Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills

 

Significant relevant sales and relationship management experience and established contacts within the industry, ideally gained from a similar role within asset management Strong leadership capability and experience Strong academic background Possesses broad knowledge of the major asset classes such as fixed income, equities, multi-asset, alternatives etc An excellent understanding of the investment needs and objectives of all NA Institutional Investors Able to develop deep relationships with key decision makers and senior client influencers, understand client issues and offer appropriate solutions Effective team player who can work in partnership with others at JHI to build and enhance JHI’s reputation in the market Able to demonstrate a collaborative approach to working with NA Institutional Team colleagues and the broader North America Client Group to share and develop ideas and approaches to enhancing client relationships Able to prioritize and manage time effectively to proactively develop a large number of senior-level industry relationships

 

Nice to have skills

 

Preference for an advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification such as the CFA Typically has Series 6, 7, 63, and 24 licenses

Compensation information

 

The base salary range for this position is $300k - $350k per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.   This role will remain open through October 18, 2024.  Colorado law requires an estimated closing date for job postings. Annual Bonus Opportunity:  Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool.  The profit pool is funded based on Company profits.  Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
