Insurance Account Manager
As an Account Manager, you will use your Commercial Insurance expertise in the growth and servicing of commercial insurance book of business. We’re looking for an analytical, organized and detail orientated professional with a proven track record of developing relationships with Canadian businesses. This is a full-time position until May 2026.
Here is what a typical day looks like
Actively manage a client portfolio of commercial insurance policies, ensure growth of established book of business from year to year to meet established targets. Establish and maintain effective relationships with commercial clients and ensure professional service levels are maintained. Work proactively to secure high levels of client retention and overall revenue growth for the business unit for both group and non-group business. Provide protection of policyholder assets through product knowledge and awareness of current market conditions, analyze clients’ risks and exposures, and provide options and solutions for their consideration. Support new and existing customers, provide quality customer service to clients and promote cross-selling and upselling of Western Financial Group products and other commercial products available that are relevant to their business. Up-sell the client during the review process when there is a substantial increase in values, to ensure appropriate coverage levels are identified and maintained. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client interactions and other interested parties using the Customer Relations Management System
The value you bring
General Insurance Level 1 License is a requirement (Fundamentals of Insurance or CAIB) Ability to maintain General Insurance License in all provinces of service including Ontario. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in the face of adversity. Must be passionate about helping people, self-driven, and determined to succeed. Demonstrated talent to grow and develop relationships with our existing clients, new clients, industry related associations and our community. Experience managing a book of business or relatable work experience. Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Hours: Full-time / 37.5 hours per week for until May 2026
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 based on renewals from your book of business
