Your opportunity
• As a Business Analyst working within the Performance Measurement Team you will be responsible for documenting current and future state performance systems to support fund, benchmark and composite level returns and ex-post risk statistics.
• This will cover the full global range of JHI product types, ranging from share class NAV calculations to unitised segregated returns.
• You will support strategic performance initiatives migrating calculations and data onto our cloud platform including design and support of interim performance workflows and processes.
• To do this you will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be required to engage with stakeholders throughout the organisation, as well as with external third-party partners to define and document requirements.
• You will be responsible for completed detailed analysis that requires sourcing and interrogating data from JHI’s data platforms.
• Using both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, you will work as part of a team to delivery change covering the full project Lifecyle from project initiation through to test execution and Go Live.
• Within the wider Technology team, you will also be working closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure
o Any risk / issues are communicated and escalated correctly
o Work with delivery teams to ensure deliverables and timelines are adhered to
o Assist with and where required manage the planning and executing of testing
• The position requires true flexibility and adaptability, to be able to move to where the demand dictates and quickly add value, to get embedded in the task at hand to quickly become the SME, drive out requirements for Technology teams and support our stakeholders.

Must have skills
• Proven business analysis and operating model design skills across the asset management industry, specifically within a performance technology environment
• Good understanding of performance calculations and methodologies
• Experience working with the business stakeholders, project managers, data analysts, data architects and developers to define solutions and implement change.
• Proficiency in Snowflake, Databricks and SQL to analyse data and investigate stored procedures and workflows.
• Ability to analyse high-level requirements and translate these to overall detailed system-level design to be used for architectural design, cost / benefit analysis, and solution development.
• Understanding and documenting process maps using tools such as Visio.
• Experience of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, with a good understanding of the pros and cons of each. Ability to adapt and interchange between these two delivery methods (and others if applicable) to ensure that the best approach is adopted for efficient delivery.
• Work closely with the product manager/scrum master to deliver communication to key stakeholders including preparation of pre and post meeting documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of working collaboratively across multiple teams in a global context.
• Excellent attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have skills
• Proficiency in Python, C# and Angular
• Knowledge of the typical infrastructure components and data architectures that support investment management systems.
• Demonstrable ability to self-organise, carry out multi-tasking, as well as work to deadlines.
• Demonstrable ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others.
• Good application and aptitude towards work with a willingness to learn, take on responsibilities and own the process from start to finish.
• Take a hands-on, methodical approach to identify and resolve issues.
• Good understanding of full trade lifecycle for different security types
