Job Title: Career Services Coordinator
Career Services and Job Purpose:
This role is essential to the daily operations and overall success of The Office of Career Services (OCS) at Stanford Law School. OCS serves as a bridge between students, alumni and employers. OCS staff members help students and alumni shape and realize their career goals. This position requires the ability to shift between daily tasks and ad hoc projects and support our student/employer-focused programs - including our online coordinated interview programs. In this role, you will represent OCS as a key contact with employers on student recruiting matters and manage job posting opportunities for our students. This role requires strong organizational skills, a customer-service-oriented disposition, and a helpful collaborative attitude. This role can be very front-facing. Therefore, someone who places a high value on customer service and satisfaction will find this position rewarding. This position reports to the Director of Recruiting and partners with the entire OCS department.
This position is embedded in OCS but will have a dotted line reporting relationship with the Administrative Services Team. This is built by design to encourage community, support, and mentorship in your role.
CORE DUTIES
Act on behalf of supervisor in regards to establishing priorities and identifying and resolving problems that are operational in nature. Serve as the primary information resource to other departments. Field and resolve high volume of inquiries and requests from students, alumni and employers. Create, maintain, modify, and/or ensure accuracy of content in various unit documents, displays, reports, brochures, and websites. This includes reviewing legal employment statistics and designing and translating this to online information that students can understand and access. Lead development of new website content and protocols for maintaining and updating pages. Aligns with the Communications Department to ensure that OCS pages comply with SLS guidelines. Collect and analyze data (ABA Statistics) from multiple sources, including student feedback surveys, trend reports, and data analytics. Create complex reports and spreadsheets that may utilize specialized software and systems, and make recommendations to enhance offerings, such as programs and courses, and to influence current processes and policies. Lead development of protocols for statistics projects and online student feedback surveys, collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources under minimal supervision. Collect and analyze data and create reports in order to explain hiring and use trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the education and service goals of OCS. Oversee and perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing and operating two large annual recruitment programs related to on-campus interviews for law students. Serve as lead in the registration process and employer outreach. Manage SLS Jobs Database. Review and approve all requested employer postings. Advise employers on OCS policies. Determine when policies or procedures need to be revised. Advise team on policy updates and provide recommendations for implementation of changes. Collaborate with other OCS staff to assess and resolve complex issues, analyze and interpret policies, and develop, revise and implement recruiting procedures. Oversee and process a variety of complex financial transactions, produce, monitor, and reconcile budget statements. Process all payments, invoices and contract renewals, handle reimbursements, and resolve all issues related to this process. Manage library resources and alumni reciprocity program. May supervise student workers.Education & Experience:
High school diploma and four years of administrative experience, or combination of education and relevant experience supporting a student services function or experience working in a law firm recruitment office. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
