Caregiver Support Coordinator

Job Description:

The Caregiver Support Coordinator is responsible for facilitating an inspiring welcome for our new caregivers, providing support from their first day through the end of their first month in their role. The coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for new caregivers and serves as an ambassador of the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health. This role includes presenting content to others, facilitating building tours and training sessions. The coordinator also serves as lead SME for badge access for both St. Mary’s hospital and medical group.

Serves as lead coordinator of weekly New Caregiver Orientation, including scheduling attendees, reserving rooms and equipment, ordering food, and setting up room and presentation technology.Serves as lead facilitator of New Caregiver Orientation session, designing and delivering content, coordinating other presenters, and ensuring coverage when out of office.Trains and mentors other facilitators and backup coordinators.Actively collaborates with Intermountain Health “Welcome Ambassadors” at the system level to share and incorporate best practices across Intermountain care sites.Verifies I-9 documentation and completion of I-9 forms.Serves as initial point of contact for questions with Workday, Kronos, and other core applications.Troubleshoots issues with Workday and Kronos for new caregivers (e.g., new hires, internal transfers, students, and caregivers in dual roles).  Connects new caregivers with ticketing system and/or appropriate SMEs to troubleshoot other applications.Creates and updates badges, ensuring appropriate access for all caregivers, interns, students, and medical groups, linking to appropriate workflow applications (e.g., Lenel).Troubleshoots badge access issues.Promotes Intermountain Health as an employer of choice, occasionally supporting recruiting or other activities with a focus on attracting and/or supporting new caregivers.Supports HR Director in checking onsite HR mailbox and routing mail, as needed.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.Proficiency in using computers and MS Office applications.Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Experience utilizing HR systems.Healthcare experience is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.See and read computer monitors and documents.Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.This role requires a fair amount of standing while presenting, walking during building tours, moving materials and equipment for training sessions, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$19.27 - $29.33
