Responsibilities

Prime, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, dedicated individual to join our Cargo Claims team.  Responsibilities of this position include processing cargo claim by performing the following duties:

 

Take OS&D calls and reports from drivers and customers.Coordinate with customers to determine disposition of refused freight.Make arrangements to track, secure, and redeliver rejected freight.Investigate and review claims to determine carrier liability.Maintain claim journals and reporting requirements.Process claim payments and deliver charges.Provide proof of delivery and donation receipts to customers upon request.Assist the department with other general duties.Ability to work weekends and take after hour calls required. Schedule is Sunday through Thursday Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Administration or related field from four-year college or university; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills, both over the phone and in person.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Also need to be able to type 40wpm proficiently.

 

Work Environment:

Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
