Job Description
As a Cargo Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe handling of cargo. You will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo, sorting and organizing it in warehouses, operating handling equipment, ensuring accurate documentation, and adhering to safety regulations.
ResponsibilitiesSafely load and unload cargo from aircraft, trucks, and other vehicles.Sort, stack, and organize cargo in warehouses and storage areas.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other cargo handling equipment.Ensure accurate documentation of cargo, including weight, dimensions, and contents.Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.Work closely with other team members to ensure timely and efficient cargo handling operations.Perform air marshalling, involving visual communication between ground personnel and pilots.Essential SkillsAbility to speak, read, and write English.Ability to lift 30-70 lbs.Capability to handle a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.High school diploma or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.Knowledge of warehouse inventory, sorting, loading, and packaging.Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.Steel-toed boots required.Ability to stand on feet all day.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled warehouse at the airport. You will unload aircraft and categorize products accordingly. Ideal candidates are open to all shifts, with specific shifts available: Monday to Sunday with early mornings and some evening shifts. Overtime is available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00/hr.
