Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for a Carpenter at Trinitas Regio Medical Center. This is a Full-Time, Days position.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or general education Degree GED3 years experience in all types of carpentry

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Must have a New Jersey driver s license,

Essential Functions:

Under direction, performs general carpentry work involved in the layout, measurement, construction, maintenance, and erection of wooden structures and structures made form materials used the same as wood: works with various machines and hand tools common to the carpentry trade; may prepare work from sketches, plans and specifications in accord with the building code or accepted trade practicesTakes the lead over and gives assignments to one or more carpenters and or provides technical advice assistance to journey level carpenters engaged in performance of a variety of carpentry task; does other related duties as requiredUtilizes skills to perform work as directed by supervisorMaintains all building functions on patient floors and patient roomsDelivers timely and efficient building services to staff, patients and visitorsRemains available for routine and emergency service calls according to Medical Center needsWorks overtime as requiredProvides on-call maintenance coverage for the Medical Center for repairs, installations, snow removal, relief mechanic and other emergencies or schedules projectsEnsures that patient care is the number on priorityResponds to work in any work discipline as requested by Engineering supervisors, or director, and performs to the best of his her ability
