Summary

This position applies knowledge to perform professional carpentry and finish carpentry on Layton projects. Duties Champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.Frame metal studs and install drywallInstalls architectural finishes according to specifications and plans if necessary, on job.Maintains a clean and safe job site to ICRA and Company standards.Reads blueprints to determine measurements, sizes, locations, types of walls, footings, floors, finishes, etc.Utilizes carpentry math to calculate measurements required to construct facilities.Applies knowledge of wood and metal finishes. (Finish Carpenters)Determines elevations and layout through the use of builder levels, transits, lasers, etc.Interact with facilities and subcontractors in a professional way. Forms and pours footings and walls, shored decks, and edge form for slabs. Installs architectural finishes according to specifications and plans if necessary on job. Reads blueprints to determine measurements, sizes, locations, types of walls, footings, floors, etc. Applies knowledge of concrete and its properties. Performs other related duties as assigned.  Qualifications                           Has high school diploma or equivalent.Preferably 2 plus years prior general carpentry experience.Performs essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing threat of harm to self or others.Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of Hospital Construction variables in situations where exact standardization exists; interprets a variety of complex instructions. Owns the tools required of the Carpenter position. Understands and conveys basic English commands, questions, and instructions regarding commercial construction. Commits to and meets all scheduled attendance and production deadlines. At least 18 years of age.  Working Conditions Exerts in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move object.Ascends or descends ladders, scaffolding, and steep slopes with agility.
