**Carpenter** **Paying $25 / HR - $30 / HR** **Location - Portland, OR** **Responsibilities:** + Will be working with the team that builds temporary structures within and outside of barges. + This includes framing stairs, ladders, platforms, door, etc. + Will use wood and metal beams. + Majority of materials are pre-cut and ready to be assembled based on the needs of the manufacturing teams. + Will utilize hand and power tools. + Drilling bolts, driving stakes, cutting to length, etc. + Will use saws, hammers, drills, and squares. **Qualifications:** + Someone with rough carpentry experience is ideal. + Some people who have done steel stud framing or scaffolding can also be a fit. + Must be able to read prints. + Must be able to read a tape measure. + Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more throughout the workday. + Must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces. + Will be working on, in, aside, above, and under a new barge being built. + Able top operate standard carpentry tools. + Must keep safety at front of mind. + Communication to team. **Environment/ Shift:** + Loud outdoor environment. + Will be working in some confined spaces. + Will be working in a new barge as well as around it. + Will work in designated areas. + Day shift: 5:00am start time, shifts are anywhere between 8-10 hours per day. Monday - Friday. + Swing shift: 2:30pm start time, shifts are typically anywhere between 8-10 hours per day. Monday - Friday. Any qualified candidate will have ability to interview within 24 hours with potential following week start date.
