**Job Title: Carpenter** WEEEKLY PAY **Job Description** The Carpenter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various kitchen equipment in commercial kitchens, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and regulations. This role involves troubleshooting issues, performing regular maintenance checks, and maintaining detailed documentation of all work performed. Additionally, you will interact with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance on equipment use and maintenance. **Responsibilities** + Install new kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and ventilation systems. + Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. + Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment, addressing issues such as leaks, faulty wiring, and worn-out parts. + Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety standards and regulations. + Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. + Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance on equipment use and maintenance. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in construction, carpentry, and framing. + Experience with hand tools and blueprint reading. + Mechanical skills and experience in commercial construction and equipment installation. + Knowledge in tape measure usage, metal stud installation, demolition, and finish carpentry. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED. + Post-secondary education in fields like HVAC, electrical engineering, or culinary arts is preferred. + Completion of a vocational or technical training program focused on appliance installation. + Practical experience through an apprenticeship under experienced technicians. + Relevant certifications, such as those from the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) or North American Technician Excellence (NATE) for refrigeration and HVAC skills. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
