Aerotek is hiring immediately for Carpenters in Chicopee! We are seeking a skilled and reliable carpenter to join our team. The majority of the work will take place at a large industrial facility in the Springfield, Massachusetts area. The candidate will be responsible for constructing, remodeling, retrofitting, and repairing interior and exterior structures made of wood, metal, drywall, plaster, concrete, or brick. Additional responsibilities include site maintenance tasks such as landscaping and snow removal. All work will be performed under the instruction and supervision of the site supervisor. The pay rate will range from low to high 20s depending on years of experience.

Work Environment

The work schedule is 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work depending on the project. Sunday work is paid at double time. Overtime is required. Teams typically consist of 3-4 employees. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, long pants, and long sleeves if working at a chemical plant. PPE such as hard hats and safety glasses will be provided. Candidates need to have basic hand tools including a tool pouch, utility knife, speed square, hammer, tape measure, and pencil.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicopee, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00
