Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for a Lead Carpenter at the New Brunswick location. This is a Full-Time, day position.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School/Vocational School graduate or equivalent. Sufficient experience through Carpentry apprenticeship and/or broad experience to quality as a Lead Carpenter.Seven years of experience as a Carpenter

Certifications and Licenses Required:

New Jersey Driver s License

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions remove when posting):

Full-TimeDays40 Hours per week

Essential Functions:

Under general direction, performs maintenance, repair fabrication, and installation of architectural building finishes, items/tasks such as: calculates quantity of materials needed and requisitions lumber, hardware and other supplies. Selects stock, tools and supplies such as fasteners and adhesives used to repairs architectural surfaces. Removes and replaces non-functional hardware, cabinetry, counter-tops, shelving, partitions, doors, windows, walls, floors, furniture and building framework using power tools such as planer, sander, saws and drills or hand tools such as planes, chisels, rasps and saws ( in a safe manner according to manufacturers and departmental guidelines) in a safe, effective and sufficient manner in response to or in support of customer needs.Responds immediately to alarms throughout the facility.Ability to drive all types of automobiles/trucks/vans including 4 wheel drive, automatic and manual transmission.
